Slaidburn

Slaidburn
Slaidburn in the Forest of Bowland, Lancashire.

Slaidburn.
Slaidburn stone.

Good pub, with Lancashire cheese pie and a roaring open fire, and well-placed YHA if you don’t mind communal snoring and farting.

Head out of town past the Unknown Soldier, and just the other side of the bridge there’s a footpath down to the right – cut across the field and your on the short (no more that 2 miles each way) walk to Stocks Reservoir.
